Our Principal, Mr. Dickie Dales, sadly died on 23rd February 2009 having established the Sports Surface Company as the world's market leader in Bowls Surfaces.
Dickie was a "legend in his own lifetime"; well-known and respected not just in the U.K. but in many countries throughout the world. Dickie's reputation is synonymous with quality and service. He will not be forgotten and his memory and traditions will live on.
Sadly Mr Dickie Dales passed away on Monday 23rd February 2009

Richard White - Sales Manager
Richard joined Dales in 1998 to develop the Pro-Weave Bowling Surface having had 15 years in the industry. His responsibility is the Sales and Marketing of the company, which now includes many other sports. Richard has played bowls for 30 years including county and national level and is also involved in many other sports.

Peter Hiom - Contracts Manager
Peter joined Dales on 1 November 2006. He has a wealth of experience gained over a period of over 25 years in the industry. Prior to specialising in installation Peter worked in the carpet industry where he played a key role in the development of surfaces for bowls. He is considered to be a great asset for Dales as their business expands both nationally and internationally.

Jim Rushby - Civils Manager
Jim Rushby joined Dales in March 2008 with over 20 years experience in the Civils Industry. Jim will be the main contact on the Civils side of Dales, growing our business into another dimension, now being able to offer a total package from a greenfield site to completion.

Richard Steadman, Managing Director, explains why Dickie Dales believed Dales is right for sports surfaces: "Dickie was proud to be the owner of the Company that has made wooden bowls floors the preferred option for Clubs and the world's top bowlers.
Since 1987 his system has proven itself many times over and all the clubs on our installation list will support this. He always insisted on the finest quality products and workmanship to ensure complete customer satisfaction and we will continue to maintain these standards which others try to follow."
